Portland Audubon
Forest Therapy at Wildlife Sanctuary
Forest Therapy is the practice of spending time in the forest for the purpose of enhancing one’s health, wellness, and happiness. Research has shown that spending time in nature reduces stress, can boost the immune system, and restores mental energy.
Join Andrea Kreiner, a certified nature and forest therapy guide, for a slow and mindful sensory journey to connect with nature at the Wildlife Sanctuary. During the 2-hour walk, you will receive a series of invitations to help slow down, engage your senses, release stress, and be more present as you connect with the natural world and experience the restorative qualities of nature.
